Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency (ZIMSTAT) is a body corporate established in terms of Section 3 of Census and Statistics Act [Chapter 10:29]. The Government of Zimbabwe is committed to the use of quality statistical data that conforms to international statistical standards and procedures. The Agency is the main source of official statistics in Zimbabwe and is mandated to play a coordination and supervisory role within the National Statistical System. Operations of the Agency are controlled and managed by the Board. ZIMSTAT is mandated to produce official statistics relating to demographic, economic, financial, environmental and social matters.
