About the Secondment

The Human Resources Division is offering an internal secondment programme aimed at developing employees through structured workplace learning and hands-on experience in Human Resources.

Successful applicants will work alongside the HR team for a period of up to 24 months, while retaining their substantive posts.


Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a current, confirmed ZIMSTAT employee in good standing.
  • Have no pending disciplinary proceedings.
  • Obtain written endorsement from their immediate supervisor and Head of Division/Unit.
  • Not be approaching retirement age during the secondment period.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:

  • Human Resources Management
  • Industrial Relations
  • Payroll Administration
  • Or a closely related discipline

Terms of the Secondment

Successful candidates will:

  • Serve on secondment for up to 24 months, subject to operational requirements.
  • Retain their substantive post and existing terms and conditions of service.
  • Continue receiving salary and allowances attached to their substantive post.
  • Return to their substantive position upon completion of the programme.
  • Sign a formal secondment agreement before commencement.
  • Be subject to early termination of the secondment in cases of unsatisfactory performance or misconduct.
