Board Charter

This Board Charter defines the governance framework within which the ZIMSTAT Board operates. It sets out the roles, responsibilities, authority, and ethical standards of the Board in order to support effective oversight, accountability, and strategic leadership.

The Charter aims to:

• Regulate the parameters within which the Board shall operate;
• Ensure the application of principles of good corporate governance;
• Safeguard the professional independence, integrity, and credibility of official statistics;
• Promote transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the governance of ZIMSTAT.

The Board Charter supports ZIMSTAT’s mandate to produce and disseminate high-quality official statistics in the public interest, in line with national legislation and international best practices for National Statistical Offices.
