Quick Reference
| Section | Purpose | Link |
|---|---|---|
| Backend (Admin) | Manage datasets, metadata, publish/unpublish, user management | Management Backend |
| Backend Docs | Notes, tutorials, admin guides | Management notes |
| Frontend (Public) | Public discovery of published datasets and dashboards | Visualize datasets |
| Frontend Docs | User guides, front-end publishing workflow | End user documentation |
Publish workflow tip: Remember: datasets must be published from the backend to appear on the frontend. Use staging or preview environments where available before making content public.
Best Practices & Notes
- Use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if available.
- Limit user permissions to the minimum required for their role (principle of least privilege).
- Keep DSDs and metadata complete to improve discoverability and interoperability (SDMX recommended fields).
- Test publishing in a staging environment before making datasets public.
- Retain a changelog for dataset updates and schema changes.
