Transport and Infrastructure Statistics

The statistics are compiled on a quarterly basis, using administrative data obtained from relevant institutions in the Transport and Infrastructural Development. These include 

  • Air Transport
  • Inland and water
  • Rail Transport
  • Road Traffic Accidents
  • Energy/Power Generation and Distribution Activities.
  • Roads and Road Infrastructure Development
  • Railway Infrastructure Development
  • Airports Development
  • ICT Infrastructure Developments
  • Water and Sanitation Infrastructure

Air Transport

–Pertains to the movement of aircraft, passengers, and cargo, including data on air passenger distribution by airport and air freight volumes.

Inland and water

 

  • Covers transportation activities on inland waterways, such as rivers, lakes, dams, and canals, including passenger and freight movement by boats.

Rail Transport

 Involves the movement of passengers and goods via railways, including metrics on train operations, freight tonnage, and passenger ridership.

Roads and Road Infrastructure Development

Covers the construction, maintenance, and expansion of road networks, including highways, bridges, and tunnels, as well as traffic management systems.

Airports Development

Pertains to the expansion and modernization of airport facilities, including runways, terminals, air traffic control systems, and cargo handling infrastructure.

ICT Infrastructure Developments

Encompasses the deployment and enhancement of information and communication technology networks, such as broadband, mobile networks, and data centers.
